Colori Me Red Event a Success!
February 5th, 2007
Colori Me Red event was phenomenal!! In the midst of pipes bursting from Chicago cold, Michelle & the Colori team packed the house with warmth. With walls painted C2 reds- “Diva” and “Audacious,” toasty red light installations, fun-loving guests and many treats from generous local businesses, the event radiated!
Thanks so much to Akira (kisses to Jon Cotay, Joe & Paulina and thanks for the Custo Barcelona dress, btw!) for generous gift bags & accessory sales for the evening, with all proceeds donated to the American Heart Association.
We were all extremely grateful for ZKF, of former Zoom Kitchen fame, who provided the minature chicken chili cups and “Molly Cakes”- nothing melts me more than red velvet cupcakes, Noel! (Well, maybe pomegranate martinis, GORGEOUS floral arrangements from Jayson Home & Garden and money raised for a good cause, such as Go Red for Women’s campaign…who’s to say?!) Either way, Bucktown represents!!!
Know who else represents? The C2 paint crew. Partners with paint company flew from Providence, Seattle, Toronto, San Francisco and Detroit via Las Vegas to support Michelle and Colori- flying to Chicago in the dead of winter, on their own dime, no less- now that is passion, people!
(Word to the wise: buy paint from passionate people. They are 10 million times more likely to assure gorgeous, quality color and make sure you’re extremely happy!)
Stay tuned for coverage in i4design (who is doing a 2-page spread on the event in their Spring issue) and Chicago Social.
